We had a wonderful stay on our last night in Portugal at the Memmo Alfama hotel. Upon arrival the front desk were friendly and extremely helpful wanting to make our stay special and succeeded!! They provided recommendation of things to do in the area and offered restaurants in the area including making reservations. They also offered to set up airport ride for next day departure. Since we had to leave before breakfast opened they provided a very nice breakfast box to go which we enjoyed at the airport. We enjoyed the rooftop bar for a beautiful sunset. The bar staff were friendly and inviting and the appetizers we had we tasty. Our room and the facility were very clean and well provided for your travel needs. The bed and pillows were comfortable for a good nights sleep. The hotel is in a great location with lots of walkable food, shopping and other attractions within walkable distance. Unfortunately we had a short stay and would have loved to enjoy this hotel longer. We will highly recommend to others and hope to return in the future.

Great little property hidden away in Alfama. Staff were professional and friendly. The view is amazing, whether you’re chilling in the pool, having breakfast on the terrace, or eating oysters and drinking cocktails in the evening sun. Very clean, well positioned for all the sights and a lovely team making sure you enjoy yourself.

I was welcomed with a handwritten note and 2 natas! :) Ate them both because I’m a solo female traveler. Safe hotel with awesome amenities. That’s why I chose it— A/C, pool, gym. That’s what I wanted and that’s what I got. I just wish upon check in I got the same attention that two Caucasian ladies got— full attention, offering of all the fado, walking tour and events that the hotel had that week. I was told nothing. Just given a hotel key. I found out about the events from a posting and still didn’t the free hotel walking tour. All good. I had a great experience with the other staff members; especially by the pool! Breakfast staff, also very nice. You can order special cooked items as well as grab from the buffet.
