Old,I reme.ber "Europe on 5$ a day " stairs, no in-room toilets or showers , people's neighborhood , no TV. Etc , but we liked it , clean and good bed .felt safe and want to never be in a cookie cutter . FUNNY , our next room on our trip is quite gra d so we are more appreciative of it . Not for anyone who can't carry their bags up flights of stairs .

Was honestly such a good experience! The staff was amazing and super welcoming when we arrived. The shared bathrooms weren’t bad at all, super accessible as everyone’s out doing their own things for the most part. Super close by to a lot of different things and even the subway if you need to travel up or downtown!! We had such a great time and it was very easy to manage. Will definitely stay here again if we get the chance!! P.S. The 7-11 right next door was a nice touch too!!

Our stay was short but very pleasant. Arrangements are similar to those in a hostel abroad. One thing we were not aware of before booking was the microwave is for vegetarian use only. We were not allowed to reheat our takeout. Staff suggested the 7-eleven next door, but per management microwave use is for food purchased onsite.

The place was clean & close (hard to find b/c no exterior sign & very small door) to the train station but folks considering need to fully know that there are only shared bathrooms & showers & they are TINY! Like someone 5’2” is not able to even sit on the toilet out in the hallway small. So think Euro youth hostel…unacceptable accommodation for most Americans over the age of 22. Also no elevator and you need to carry luggage up 2-3 flights. Also paper thin walks —very noisy all night.

Great value for the price! The rooms are small, and each floor has 2 shared bathrooms and 2 shared showers, but everything was clean. The location is excellent and makes it easy to get around New York. If you’re looking for an affordable place in a great area, I would definitely recommend it.

Great value for the price, the room was clean, didn’t see a single bug (big seller for me!!), and the staff was helpful and respectful. Great for solo travelers, the room had an air conditioner and provided a wonderful, central rest stop while spending most of the time adventuring around the city.

Close to the penn station and subway. Steps away to the Madison Square Garden. Very convenient location. Staff super friendly and helpful. Room and place clean and well maintained. The outside can be a little sketchy. Some homeless asking you for money or just been there.. but i had no problem with that.

This is pretty basic amenities, but you’re right in the heart of the city. Great for a single person or a student or someone on a mission who’s not staying for too long and doesn’t need too much.

This place is basic but you know that coming in. No tv in the room etc. It was clean, the bed was comfy and not too noisy. The shared bathroom was clean. The staff were really helpful - thank you so much. Will return next time I am in NYC.

Incredibly convenient location just a short walk from Penn Station. It’s in a very busy area so there is street noise at night but nothing out of the ordinary for the area. Overall a great deal for the location and a great middle ground option between hotels and hostels.

This is basically a hostel, with tiny rooms and tiny shared bathrooms. My window looked over the street, which was noisy all night. Cheap and cheerful. Do not take your wife to this hotel!

Property location is excellent walkable from Penn Station and another subway station. It's also walkable to Times Square and Broadway but a LONG walk. Good in the summer time. Toilet rooms are the tiniest ever. Your knees touch the door when sitting. Being thin is okay. Queen size non-shared bed room was very comfortable. Not a lot of walkable space in the room but I'm spending all my time out and about NYC. Safety of location is fine, but it doesn't compare to a 5th Ave. I enjoyed my stay and will consider coming back when I'm alone.
