Ample parking basic room but comfortable easy walking distance to town around 10 minutes and 20 minutes to the castle if going we had dinner at hotel food was excellent breakfast every morning was very good staff were excellent and very friendly

Great stay at The Oaks Hotel in Alnwick. Staff were all very friendly and attentive. The room was clean, spacious and had a good sized en-suite shower room. Bed was very comfortable and the food was delicious.

Staff were lovely and helpful. Room was very large and ensuite was a good size with toiletries. Toilet didnt flush very well and road noise outside was a bit loud. Breakfast was great and staff very helpful. Mattress was very uncomfortable and we both had back ache most of the next day.

Excellent little find. Lovely big room, great facilities. Had dinner in the restaurant and being gluten free there were no problems. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was perfect.

Great location , just a 10 min stroll into Alnwick. We had an issue with one of the door locks not working but this was quickly sorted . A really nice place , the breakfast was very good , a couple of extra touches would make it excellent , just for example some modern doors to the rooms , but would definitely stay again

This was a very convenient stopover for me travelling back from Orkney. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I was also taking the opportunity to visit Barter Books - The Oaks is just a 5 min walk up the road and oh so convenient !!

Conveniently situated near main routes, good parking, good breakfast and evening meal choices and helpful staff. Our room was disappointing in that it was at the top of several flights of stairs, had a small window, high up the wall, so no view and it was also above the main doors so noisy when being locked up in the evening. It was clean and basic and fine for a couple of nights.

Welcoming staff, Alnwick is lovely. Room large, clean with tea and biscuits- great. Standard pub food, leak and potato soup more mash potato, but gammon and chips nice. Good helpful service throughout
