We enjoyed our stay at this boutique, self-serve hotel in Old Montreal. It was convenient for exploring all the sights that the district has to offer, including Old Port. We appreciated the clean room and easy check-in. Our only suggestions are that there weren’t enough power outlets and that water from the shower spills over onto the ground. Also although our room faced the courtyard, guests should be aware that anyone, including tour groups, can enter it. Overall we would stay again.

The room was clean and spacious for two of us! The old building made lots of creaks and noises in the night but the bed was very comfortable and the location was unmatched! Had a little trouble getting into the building upon arrival but texting with the concierge they were very responsive and helpful. They even made sure to put an uber order in our room ahead of time which was so lovely. Overall a great place to stay for the long weekend!

The hotel is located in the heart of the old city, close to many attractions and restaurants. There is no check in desk all interactions are through email and phone calls. Room was very nice and clean, comfortable bed. We did not care much for the glass door to the bathroom that does not give much privacy, and we had some trouble at first getting into the room that was reasonably quickly resolved. Public parking is available right behind the building,but keep in mind that prices you find on the Internet are outdated - we paid $US42 per night.

Bowery Lofts is a great place to stay in Old Montreal. I say this with a few ‘ warnings’. It’s location is perfect Great Restaurants, Great Shops It’s well setup and clean. The entire check-in- checkout and communication is ALL online and very efficient. It has a real great feel. It can be a bit noisy, from the excitement of the street activity. But that’s part of the reason to stay there.

Finding parking is a big hassle other than that everything is great, clean accessibility. Directions to entry of the building, lift and room are all same access code, should have been mentioned. Reservation for parking must be done prior to arrival. The instructions are very incomplete. But property was good enough considering the proximity to old port.

The room was quite nice, and the location is great. But, I sent several simple questions to the hotel- there are no staff on site- and never heard back in any way, either via email or the direct hotels.com messaging. This became a serious issue when I had issues with the lock on my door, which worked sometimes and not others. I stood outside my door with a dead phone at 11pm and entered the code identically 16 times before it worked. Way too stressful, not worth it. If you're not going to have staff, you MUST be responsive by text!!

The room was clean. Although there was an open energy drink in the fride! The location was GREAT! Once we found it! The parking was fine but very hard to find. However it was only a block or so away, so that was good! We never had to move our car and it was free! We were located within walking distance to everything we wanted to see! We walked everywhere! Norte Dame Basilica is an absolute MUST. So is the other Catholic Churches is the area. Good food and drinks all over the area! Really good coffee shops too! The restaurant that the room is above was bery nice as was the staff! So many shops and store to browse! If you want something you will find it in this area! If we come back to Canada we will definitely stay here again!

No one cleaned the room or replaced the towels during the four days that we were in the hotel. It was messy because it’s winter time and our shoes were dripping wet ice. Other than that, our stay would have been perfect.

Using the code to go up the elevator was ok but it was very difficult getting the room door open; had to do it over and over, pressing *first didn't always help. The bed was supposed to be a queen. It was not. More like a double. And the mattress was very soft, sinking down in the middle, so for two people, we were always rolling into one another, and we are not large people; so we did not sleep well. There was no desk or anyplace you could put a laptop. No USB ports, and very few outlets around the room where you could plug in a charger. I had to unplug the coffee machine in order to plug in my phone charger. The closet must have been designed by a giant. The rod was over 6 feet up. I am just barely 5 ft. so to hang anything, I had to stand on my tip toes and jump a little. Ridiculous! There were empty shelves way up at the top of the closet, close to 7 ft up! I don't know how anyone could use those. The bathroom looked beautiful, all white marble. But the shower also had a marble floor with no ridges or grooves. Very slippery, no hand rails to hold on to. Very unsafe. The young women who came around to make up the room were very friendly and accommodating. There were a few tea bags in the room, all herbal teas I dislike. I asked for any kind of plain black or green tea. They went and looked, but there was non. But they tried their best. Most hotels have some kind of breakfast tea.
