The next morning, despite removing all valuables, my car had a smashed back window from someone who decided my little, empty cooler bag was worth taking.
Now, it's hard to pin a 'smash and grab' on the hotel itself, despite their lack of safe parking and assurances that the street was where I should park. It happens, though anyone staying should know that there is not reliable or safe parking here.
In the morning, when I discovered the damage, I wanted to report it to the front desk and ask for assistance in clean-up and reporting it to the authorities. Absolutely no one was available.
Throughout the more than an hour that I spent dealing with this and reporting it, not only was there no one available in the hotel, nobody at the front desk or anywhere to be found, but the number they left on a sign at the front desk went straight to a voicemail.
Other guests wandered through and were also befuddled by the absence as they tried to check out, but in my case - when I truly had a problem - there was zero assistance to be had. You are literally on your own, no matter what happens.
