Stayed here one night for a local wedding, a fabulous pub with loads of character and the rooms were great! The staff were very friendly and accommodated an earlier check in for us which was greatly appreciated, wish we could have stayed longer and would definitely go back if in the area again.

Lovely property, friendly staff, warm welcome. Visitors should be aware that the kitchen shuts at 6pm on a Sunday which surprised me. Otherwise, all very good.

I had a lovely stay at the Richard Onslow - from the moment I walked in I was made to feel welcome and that continued throughout my stay. My room was incredibly hot but that was understandable given the weather but I was given a fan which was worth its weight in gold. The room was clean and bed extremely comfortable. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would go back in a shot!

We had a wonderful 4 night stay, our room was perfect, with a comfortable bed (better pillows would have been preferred). The staff were all very helpful and friendly, especially Dylan and Joe (who I believe was the manager). Their was another manager on duty for one day while we were there ("L"), I think her customer relations skills could do with some improvement! Overall, we had a really good visit and will certainly re-book should we be vising Cranleigh in the future. Keep up the good work!

We stayed here for one night as we were attending a talk at the nearby arts centre. The hotel is very close to the centre, about a 5 minute walk so ideally situated. After a 4 and a half hour drive, our first impression was marred slightly by several feral kids running amok in the bar making one heck of a noise - that, obviously,, is NOT the fault of the hotel staff which is why I’ve still given a rating of good. I took a beer up to our room anyway to get away from the carnage. They left after a couple of hours. Apart from that, the staff were really friendly and helpful, the room was cosy - it’s a very old building with lots of history so expect the odd creaky floor board and low beams, sort of comes with the territory. We are in the eatery before going to the arts centre - food was lovely, staff were attentive and helpful. Breakfast was actually one of the best I’ve had at a hotel and I’ve stayed at literally dozens of places as part of my work. All in all it was a nice stay and taking the feral manic kids out of the equation we’d definitely stay here again.
