From start to finish our stay was lovely. Steven greeted us on arrival and took us to our room. The house has been renovated but maintains its old world charm with beautiful light fittings, original portraits and period pieces of furniture. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was self serve cereals fruit yogurt etc and hot food was cooked to order. No problem changing items or reasonable off menu requests. A comfortable parlour was available to sit in. WiFi wasn’t great but adequate for emails and messaging. Mobile data in the whole area is hit and miss, but that’s not surprising given the terrain. All in all a great spot and we’d come back!

This was a lovely property and a fantastic location to reach all the hikes locally. The breakfast was incredible and service was great. This property is well worth a visit. Local restaurants were also very good. My advice though is if you are staying during the warm weather to be prepared. There was only a small fan in the room and it was so hot it’s was unbearable. I appreciate it is an old property and doesn’t have air conditioning but I felt we should have been told that it was that hot in the room before we arrived, as we both felt quite ill and had very little sleep and to be honest with the hotter summers we are now having there should have been more preparation for this. I would suggest bigger fans or an air conditioning unit for the room. The small fridge in the room was also so hot and had broken down all the milk went off. We did nearly check out due to the heat so be aware of this. Apart from that it’s a fantastic property and great location. I would return but not if it was a very hot unless something changes.

The host Steven was very friendly and encouraged us to treat the place as our own but with respect. The location is lovely and quiet with a personal peacock roaming the grounds. The room was lovely with a modern bathroom. The breakfast was well done and could be made to personal preference. Its a good spot to venture out on walks. I would highly recommend and would return.

Absolutely sensational. A true hidden gem. Booked this not knowing what to expect but WOW! This place is a work of art. The owners have renovated this lovely building to an exceptional standard. The place feels fit for royalty, and you can definitely see the attention and care to detail the owners have put into this. Room was 10/10 and designed to a very high standard. From when you arrive and walk into the place, you will get an instant feel for how special this stay is. Breakfast 10/10, everything provided and more. Full hot menu alongside plentiful cold options. The owners/hosts were so helpful and friendly and we would recommend this stay to absolutely anyone looking for a peaceful and tranquil stay. Extremely highly rated. You will not be disappointed if you book. Exceptional. Thank you!

Absolutely superb boutique hotel. Beautiful and comfortable surroundings, quality fixtures, furniture and fittings. Tastefully decorated to reflect the period building in a modern way. Spotlessly clean, spacious and every amenity covered. And such a reasonable cost. And finally, professional and courteous hosts. I will be returning without a doubt.
