This is fantastic value for money. Clean sheets, clean room, shabby but friendly setting. All we could have wished for except that we were asked to move out for our second of a two night stay owing to a failed fire / safety inspection. I hope they can get this fixed because then it would be great.

The room was spotless and it was incredibly quiet. Perfect for a good sleep and close to the station and within city centre.

Stayed here many times, keep very clean. Microwave in kitchen, cereal and bread "free" to consume. Next to Leeds station. The dorms can be a challenge to the faint of heart, with other people snoring.

Excellent central location. Easy to find. Simple check-in, friendly reception. Felt safe and secure. Kitchen had everything you could want. Would definitely stay again!

On the positive, it's close to the train station and cheap. On the negative, well it's a very small hostel, the private room only had a double bed and a small bed, don't look for anything else in the room. Shared bathrooms was very small, with the shower inside small toilet cubicle. From the look at the stairs, it looks like the place is being refurbished, the whole atmosphere was not pleasant at all. The rooms don't even have a number on their door, so during the night I was awaken because someone did not know which was their room and they were trying to get into mine! The area is not so quiet neither, I stayed on a Friday night and due to heatwave the window was opened. I heard night out people talking and shouting all night in the street. In summary if you're looking for a cheap place, you can go for it but don't expect much more from it.

Dormitory accommodation in Central Leeds for 32 quid. Can't complain. Actually I 'm very happy - clean, WiFi, comfortable single beds and breakfast included, cereals, bread, butter, various jams etc, fresh milk for tea or coffee. It was ideal for a night before Leeds HM. Thanks. Not the accommodation provider's fault if someone in the dormitory has a terrible cough.

I have stayed here at the hostel before. I enjoy staying here. Good surroundings, room was warm, toilets and showers are up on the next floor which is good, breakfast is good too and free beverages (tea and coffee free at any time), all in all, a very good experience, happy to recommend others to stay at the hostel, thank you.

Not as bad as some reviews make it out to be. Would recommend if you just need a place to sleep after a gig or night out but I wouldn't stay for more than one night. 3 minutes from the train station and absolutely worth it for the price, although I'm guessing it's going to increase when the construction is finished (probably not anytime soon). Shower was awkward to use and the kitchen could have been cleaner. The owner was very nice.

The middle-aged male owner was doing up the hostel - v much a building site. He was sleeping in room next door to guests & knew key code of our room off by heart. Toilets, sinks & showers were 2 flights upstairs & he wanted all lights off at night so he could sleep. As females, we felt v vulnerable & didn't feel safe staying at this property. We immediately found alternative accomodation in Leeds & left the property.

Payment issue

uday vachhani 2:05 PM (22 minutes ago) to customersupport, travel, travel_hotels Dear Hotels.com Customer Support, I am writing to raise a serious complaint and demand immediate action regarding my booking for R S Hostels – Leeds (Itinerary #73153814943684) made through your platform for the night of 2nd July 2025. I arrived at the property at 10:30 PM after a long journey, only to be told that all bookings made via Hotels.com had been cancelled — including mine. I was completely blindsided. I received no cancellation email, no warning, no update from your side. The hostel staff told me there was nothing in their system for my booking. Let me be clear: this situation was extremely distressing. It was late at night, I was in an unfamiliar city, and suddenly I had nowhere to stay. What if I hadn’t been able to afford another booking at that moment? What would I have done — sleep on the street? Thankfully, I managed to rebook the same hostel by paying again on the spot. But that is not the point. The entire purpose of booking through Hotels.com is peace of mind and reliable service — which you completely failed to deliver. I contacted your support team twice, both times being told it would take 48 hours for a response. I waited. Still, I received nothing. When I finally received an email asking for proof of payment, I responded immediately with the requested documentation. And yet again — your mailbox was full and my email bounced back.
