If you’re looking for a luxury break in a typically Scottish baronial establishment, this is the place for you. Great staff, great location, fabulous facilities, good drinks list and plenty to keep you occupied. Ten out of ten!’ (Plus there’s peacocks!)

Stunning property with high end luxury amenities. Beautiful hotel and excellent food. This should be rated as a five star luxury property. The views were amazing and the restaurant was worth it. There is a whiskey library and pool table room. Minimum two night stay if you can to truly soak it all in and enjoy the surrounding trails.

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour à Glencruitten House et nous ne pouvons que vivement recommander cet endroit. La maison est magnifique, pleine de charme et située dans un cadre paisible et pittoresque. Tout est entretenu avec beaucoup de soin, et nous nous sommes sentis accueillis et à l’aise dès notre arrivée. Notre hébergement était extrêmement confortable et d’une propreté irréprochable. Les petites attentions et le souci du détail ont vraiment rendu notre séjour très spécial. C’était l’endroit idéal pour se détendre et profiter pleinement de la beauté de la région. Un grand merci à nos hôtes pour leur accueil chaleureux et leur hospitalité. Nous garderons un excellent souvenir de notre séjour à Glencruitten House et y retournerions avec grand plaisir. Une très belle expérience du début à la fin !

Glencruitten house is one of those special places. Immaculately presented accommodation, helpful staff and lovely food. The grounds are breathtaking, and the quirkiness of the woods, friendly chickens, peacocks and alpacas make this a place I will re-visit.

Un cocon hors du temps sur les hauteurs d’Oban

Magnifique maison écossaise. La décoration est vraiment incroyable. La chambre était décorée avec goût mais au delà de la chambre vous pourrez profiter de différents salons dont un avec un billard et un autre ouvert en soirée pour déguster un whisky (ou autre) dans une ambiance tout droit sortie d’un roman d’Agatha Christie. C’est clairement un endroit où nous retournerons!

I loved the hotel and the location. The staff on arrival were very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely. I was disappointed to learn following the trip that during the online check in process , my credit card had been scammed & used for a deliveroo payment in Dubai! This left a bit of a sour note to our stay.

Wonder and a bit of magic

A transportive experience, that takes you straight into the forest and a different time and space. Every detail, piece of furniture, framed picture, crown molding, breakfast plate - everything made this a special and unique experience. The staff is well informed, gracious, and helpful. Out of all the hotels we stayed at this trip, Glencruitten House was our most memorable, and not to be missed.

A stunning Scottish baroque mansion in an idyllic setting. Beautifully designed in a sympathetic way but fit for modern times. Clearly, the owners have poured their heart and soul into making sure this experience will be unforgettable for the guests. Impeccable and friendly service. I rarely give 5/5 but this is one of the best you’ll experience world wide, if you have an eye for detail.

Amazing country manor! Gracious rooms. Wonderful staff. Delicious breakfast! Very close to Oban. Quiet! The only slight I had was the over abundance of smell. Each area has reed diffusers and it is a lot of smell. As someone sensitive to that it was a bit much. I put our reed diffuser in a closet and then it was fine. Would I recommend this to friends? 1000%! You have to see it to believe it. Absolutely amazing!

This is an incredible stay and if you are debating a night, stop it and book lol! We arrived and the original room I booked wasn’t available due to plumbing issues and they put us in a room with a shared bathroom. I had asked if they could swap us even though they upgraded our stay because of the inconvenience. The owner Paul was amazing and told me they were taking care of it. He was so sweeet and is truly building a remarkable stay. Seymour I believe was her name was in contact on WhatsApp with whatever we needed and ordered us a cab into town. The rooms are decorated so uniquely it is hard to describe how beautiful and amazing it actually is. My only complaint is I only booked one night !!

I am rooting for these guys! It’s a beautiful place and we loved staying in Oban away from the tacky ocean front area spots. We loved the views and the grounds and the library with the assortment of whiskeys. Here is a photo of some highlights! The library and the peacock and the views. Looks like a castle.

The photos make this place look more posh than it is. Property is very disjointed, and some public rooms are under renovation. The rate we paid was totally overpriced. Its okay, but I wouldn’t stay here again
