The house and the grounds are lovely and really well maintained, nice swimming pool, very cosy public areas. We tried the restaurant both for lunch and dinner and although not cheap we really enojoyed both the food and the wine.
The rooms, unfortunately, are not so outstanding, the design is quite unremarkable and for a countryside boutique hotel I would certainly expect something cosier and 'more rustic', It felt a bit like a city business hotel really. The curtains are really thin so expect a fully bright room every morning when the sun is shining straight into it. The SPA as well is just a changing room turned into massage room at convenience, should be improved a lot to be called as such. The swimming pool chairs are pretty uncomfortable. The breakfast lacks any warm options, when we asked for an omelette we were shown the lunch menu where a few were available, but they did not specify if we had to pay for it (since there was a price on the menu). The staff is very nice but again not so professional sometimes. Overall a pleasant experience, this place could be outstanding with few minor improvements, or the price should be cheaper for this kind of service provided.
