The front desk staff seem to lack basic common sense about how to treat guests. The manager wasnt there and I booked on hotels.com. I live in Saskatchewan and I booked the wrong date. (NYE)The front desk staff refused cancellation to hotels.com. There was no manager to talk to they were apparently unavailable and on vacation. SO I had no choice but to drive across 2 provinces through a blizzard and Black Ice conditions to get there or they were going to take my money for nothing. It took me 8 hours to drive in harrowing life threatening conditions. I arrived and wasnt given the option to switch rooms as my company didn't come with me. I had to wait at the door ring on the doorbell for 15 minutes and walk around the hotel getting staff to notice me. It was - 20C. There was no signage. I had to call the front desk twice to get them to open the door. I froze my face and hands. The entranceway was unshovelled and had a very difficult time entering the hotel. There was no courtesy late checkout and I was very very disappointed that I had to miss NYE and drive across 2 provinces to get there and get treated extremely rude by the front door girl. treated rudely by the front cheobut
