Very nice. Very cheap. Convenient transport to station

A pretty big-standard hotel. No ice available for an injury as the bar was closed. An influx of guests at 11:15pm caused a load of noise and then the room next door stayed up until 6am - talking and playing the TV. Walls are thin in this hotel

Room not clean, dusty skirtings, dirty light switches, chewing gum on the carpet and gunge around the toilet base. Complained to staff and changed rooms but not too much better tbh. Staff were apologetic and helpful but one gets the impression nothing will change.

I stayed at the hotel last Saturday. I arrived around 20:00 and there was no staff at the reception, so I had to call by phone for someone to assist with the check‑in. There was a private event taking place on the ground floor that evening, and the noise was noticeable until late at night. At one point, the fire/smoke alarm activated briefly without an obvious reason and stopped after about a minute. Overall, the stay had a few inconveniences that affected the experience.

Decent for the price, as all I needed was a shower, a bed (surprisingly comfortable!), and a meal. I'm happy that the restaurant kitchen was still open, as I arrived later in the evening. There were a few spots that could've been cleaned better, mainly in the bathroom. The place could become very nice with some modernization, but on the other hand, that would also reflect on the price.

This place is long, long past it's day. We tried 3 different rooms and they all felt very, very old, cramped and not up-to-date at all. They were well worn down and should have been renovated years ago. The firealarm went on by itself on our first night even though all we did was watching the telly. The walls are so thin you can hear the neighbours sneezing and talking even when your telly is on. This place seriously needs to be renovated.

Extremely clean, well maintained, bed was uncomfortable though so could be updated. Be aware though, there are lots of stairs.

Basic small room, noisy hotel. Very little sound deadening, so could hear next door conversations. Not well maintained.

My first room was not good, no hangers, no teaspoons, felt very very poor value, I informed the staff who were excellent, I was then put in another room to complete my stay, now that room was amazing, 4 poster bed, really fab.

Great bar restaurant downstairs. I was staying alone but was made to feel very welcome and looked after by the staff. For the price, I thought the room was great. Incredible location only 10 minute walk from the station. And the continental breakfast in the morning was perfect. Can’t really complain at all. Thank you guys it was brilliant.
