This place is amazing. I recommend it to you. Great location where you can go to the center of the city and beaches. The owner is beyond kindness and helpful. The room is like a five star hotel. Anything you need, they are there to help you. They accept credit cards and cash. Recommend this place 100%

The rooms and general accommodation were fantastic. Google maps send you to the wrong location. Follow the street address and you will arrive at the gate. there is no sign at the front you need to ring the bell for access

Oasis in the City

We where so warmly welcomed and felt at home right away. Our initial plan was to stay only a few days since we had other plans traveling around but we had to come back and stay at Papaya every time we returned to Maputo. Now we don’t even have to look for anything else. This hotel is a given for any future visits. Even our local friends were positivley surprised when we shared our experiences of this loving little Oasis. U get soap, shampoo and some lotion in your room and there is a self service fridge stocked w necessities- beer, coke, water. There is a small fridge in room and a shared kitchenette for basic food preparation. The pool area is super nice and relaxing!
