My stay was pretty low-impact - one night, and I barely touched anything except the bed. I was only here for one night, before moving to a hostel at UBC for eight nights, but if I had known how great this place was, I would have booked all nine nights here, and demanded that my wife come with me.
The location was spotless, and in excellent repair. To be fair, I was upgraded to the master suite (room A on the second floor), but LOOK AT THE PICTURES!
But the service was the best part. Maybe everyone doesn't get an upgrade, but they had excellent, complete, and clear instructions for unattended check-in, they quickly responded to three messages, and Jennifer, the owner, INSISTED on helping me with my bags going down stairs and steps as I was leaving.
And I didn't notice that I had a private entrance to the balcony until it was close to checkout time.
This is one of my best experiences at a hotels.com properties in a decade or two of business travel.
