This hotel was more fantastic than I could have imagined. The view of the lake and the mountains was stunning. The staff were wonderful, we had great drinks and snacks at the bar each evening. Unforgettable hotel! From the moment you get to the gate it feels like a fairy tail with so much character, arts, history- just such a unique experience. Great service, good breakfast, spacious rooms. Although not in the center of historical Salzburg, so car is needed. Getting around on foot with 2 kids was challenging... Big room, good enough for family of 4. Take at least half of day to enjoy the walks around the buildings, near the lake and in the palace - it makes all the difference.The views at the frozen lake, and everything covered in snow is just breathtaking. We really enjoyed our stay, it was the highlight of the vacation.
