Had a wonderful stay at the Oliver Inn. The room was spotlessly clean, and the location couldn't be better — easy to access and just a short distance from everything downtown Duluth has to offer. Whether you're heading out for dinner, shopping, or exploring the waterfront, you can't beat the convenience. Highly recommend this spot for anyone visiting the area.

Really cool conversion of the first city hall of Duluth into a boutique hotel. Our room was on the "first" floor (really the basement) without any windows, which was a little freaky at first. It was so quiet, we felt we were the only people in the building, even though there were several lounges/bars. We parked in the secure parking ramp across the street, which meant we were walking by a number of unhoused people with all of our luggage. There are NO actual staff on the premises, but the many texts that we received were sufficient in terms of checking in/out, and gaining access to the building and our rooms.

Room 11 had a room door that apparently was warped resulting in the deadbolt lock unable to open or close properly. After 3 tries the digital lock would not be useable for 5 minutes. This was frustrating and time consuming. Highway noise was noticeable. Parking was also an issue. Location was very walkable to restaurants.

Very unique building. The room had everything we could need. We enjoyed the oldness of it with all the antiques and history. Our room did not have a view but we didn’t mind. Unfortunately the speak Easy and other bar are closed Monday and Tuesday we didn’t realize that. We would return.
