Our stay at this hotel was a mixed experience. We booked this hotel because of its high rating and 4-star status. However, the hotel is located in a quiet residential area with not much happening in the hotel or its immediate surroundings; there are only a few restaurants and no bars nearby.
The first apartment we were given, a pool-view apartment, was like a time capsule from the 80s and was in poor condition. The table and two chairs were falling apart, the balcony only had plastic chairs, and there was no sofa or comfortable chair inside. The bed was hard and had only one bedside table.
After we complained, the lovely staff moved us to a much better room that included a sofa. While this room was a significant improvement, its decor was also quite dated. The staff in this hotel is very nice and helpful, and the cleanliness is great. The included breakfast was okay.
To be clear, this hotel really needs a renovation.
I would recommend this hotel for families with children looking for a quiet place to stay, but not for people who want a more lively atmosphere. On the plus side, it is very cheap to get a Bolt or Uber to the center of Cascais.
Hope this is helpful.
