Service staff are very attentive. It has the air of a budget hotel. Small lobby, small rooms, self service breakfast in the basement. But it was well equipped, comfortable, clean, tidy, lovely helpful staff and just on the edge of a bustling Chinatown, 5 mins from Little Italy, a 7-eleven round the corner and Canal St subway very close. Price per room of $550 per night though is far too high for what you get and would be so much more cheaper at other times of the year. But if you want to stay in Manhattan in December, you have to suck it up. As a tip though, do not be tempted to buy, the fake Apple electronics being sold by the African street vendors. The press have been all over the issue for months but the police are not interested in moving them on and protecting the livelihoods of tax / rent paying shop keepers or reducing the hassle we tourists receive from these guys who are ripping off Apple and genuine shops. Avoid. They are fake !!
Hotel recommended and would stay there again but not in December
