The staff are friendly and appear to work diligently to keep this hotel clean, but if I'm being honest, I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it to others. Let's start with the bedding. These aren't real beds, they're essentially big cushions filled with foam and fibre batting. No springs, no back support. When we arrived and sat on the bed it felt like it was going to collapse. The entire night we slept in a V shape and woke in the morning with back and neck aches. We didn't swim in the pool because that water was murky and the bottom dirty. The breakfast just added insult to injury with powdered eggs and not real strips of bacon, but rather bacon bits. (If you're not aware, bacon bits like these are often comprised of meat shavings from the cutting room floor, that can be purchased frozen at a significantly lower cost than real bacon, thawed, cooked and then added to things like salad, soups or omelettes.) The coffee available in the lobby was also bland and flavourless, with no real milk or cream available, just Coffee Mate. Luckily, there was a Stacked Pancake house about 8 minutes away, so we had breakfast there and then came back to the hotel to get ready for our day and checkout. There are also shiatsu chairs at Vaughan Mills Mall, about 15 minutes away that we took advantage before getting back on the road. Again, the staff were friendly and the room was clean, which is the only reason I'm not giving this a one star review.
