Très bien reçu lors de nôtre arrivé, personnel compréhensif car il y avait une personne végétarienne donc possibilité d'adapter le petit-déjeuner et nous ne parlons pas bien Anglais. Chambre propre, le repas au restaurant était très bien ( belle présentation, savoureux). Très beau château nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

Our stay at Melville Castle was everything I’d hoped for and more. We felt in awe and humbled by its grandeur and history. Strolling around the beautiful grounds added to the experience. This was a stay we will never forget.

If you want to stay in a true castle in Scotland. This is the place. The decor is out of this world gorgeous. The rooms were clean and so pretty! The grounds were amazing with walking trails that included a foot bridge over a creek to a beautiful forrest trail. The staff were truly so kind and helpful. We had the breakfast and it was delicious. The pastries, hot breakfast, cereal, muffins, juices, bread and everything else were all so yummy. We absolutely loved our stay here. I cannot recommend enough.

We had a very enjoyable stay here. The drive up to the hotel is impressive. On our arrival the man at reception was very pleasant and informative. The girl the next morning was fine but her boredom was obvious. A simple smile would have made all the difference. We stayed in two rooms and both were excellent. They were extremely clean, a good size and had very comfortable beds. We slept really well. We did not eat in the hotel because we were so busy in Edinburgh. We were lucky to have a car because of the hotel is just outside Edinburgh, however this wouldn’t put us off if we were to come again.

Some of the staff were wonderful, such as the gentleman at the reception some were rude, such as the male waitress breakfast. The character and charm of the hotel was from days before. It is tired, in need of refurbishing and some tender, loving care. The restaurant was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed dinner.
