We got one of the old ugly rooms. Hot tub area was nice. Breakfast was picked over. Overall is was fine.
Very clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Slightly out of the way of the town needing a 20 minute walk along a main road but not too much of a problem if you are being picked up by tours.
Location was fantastic for those who drive, great parking. Only a few minutes from the city centre, and about 30 seconds from the highway. Plenty of shops nearby. Little spa at the bottom was nice, as long as it’s not too crowded. The hot-tub was perfect after a long day in the snow! We were given an older style room, which was a disappointment; the bed wasn’t particularly comfortable, the pillows were very thin, TV received 3 channels in poor quality and overall just felt well used. It wasn’t all bad, as we only really used it as somewhere to sleep before busy days in beautiful Iceland- but we were a little disheartened. Breakfast was amazing though, great choice, nice and fresh. Overall recommend the hotel to those looking for a convenient base for their trip.
Would highly recommend this lovely hotel to anyone wanting to visit Iceland. The location was brilliant, so easy to get to Reykjavík by catching a bus just down the road, plenty of nearby restaurants about. The staff are all very welcoming, friendly and brilliant at recommending places to visit or eat. The hotel itself was very clean, modern with amazing views of the snow covered mountains out of the bedroom window. The spa was lovely, a very small swimming pool, but enough for what we used it for.
Fresh buffet breakfast either cooked, cereal or fruit/meats very friendly helpful staff. Although we booked the spa hotel we didnt use any of the facilities. This was purely down to there not being enough hours in the day to do everything. We will definately be coming back again.
An enjoyable stay with very friendly staff. Staff were on hand and eager to help with any advice that was needed
The front desk staff was amazing, especially Melissa, she gave us great ideas for our day trips. Not only did she tells us where to go but suggested the order that would maximize our time. Thank you so much for making our trip to Iceland awesome.
I was very displeased with this hotel. The pictures displayed when booking are nowhere near the type of room you will get. The room was old, there mattress boxes were exposed, and the plastic water kettle was all rusted inside. This was definitely false advertising from the place i booked.
