I recently stayed at Clarion Pointe and, unfortunately, my experience was marred by a significant issue at the front desk. Upon check-in, I provided my credit card for the stay. However, to my dismay, I discovered later that I had been charged twice on two different cards.
This double charging caused considerable frustration and inconvenience. Firstly, I had to spend a significant amount of time on the phone with both my bank and the hotel to identify and resolve the issue. This took away from my time enjoying my trip and added unnecessary stress.
Secondly, the additional charge temporarily reduced my available funds, impacting my ability to cover other expenses during my stay. This financial strain was both unexpected and troubling, as I had planned my budget carefully.
Despite reaching out to the front desk multiple times, the resolution process was slow and unsatisfactory. The staff seemed either unwilling or unable to quickly rectify the mistake, leaving me feeling helpless and undervalued as a guest.
While the hotel's amenities and location were satisfactory, the mishandling of my billing and the subsequent poor customer service have left a lasting negative impression. I hope that in future no one has to go through what I have experienced.
