My wife and I were traveling from Toronto to Nova Scotia and started with a short drive to Peterborough. I booked ahead and there are modern opportunities in Peterborough but generally I am attracted to older, traditional hotels, which includes the risk that it is going to be a disappointing experience. But it was the prefect choice!
We liked the more traditional, classic atmosphere in this hotel. This includes the location in a row of buidings in a common main street down town. Parking is allowed for (un)loading before free parking in a garage close by. Very well organised! We loved the lobby. The room was simple but nice, the bed was good. Breakfast was included, not fancy but good. Keep in mind that prices are very reasonable, so all together I find you get a lot of value for your money.
If my comments appeal to you, don't hesitate and book this hotel for your stay in Peterborough.
