We are really not picky people, usually we are easy to please. But this hotel is really the worst one, if not one of the worst ones we stayed at. First of all, we booked a room with air conditioning, which is extremely important in Mexico as it is very hot. But when we got my room, they said air conditioning is not ready. What? OMG, they are two fans in the room, but they don't really help when the room temperature is over heated. We have to constantly take shower to cool down. Secondly, this room is a insect zoo, really. I am not exaggerating. Cockroaches, ants, mosquitoes etc, they are all over the room. We were bitten dozens of times by god-knows how many mosquitoes in the room. We were covered by mosquitoes bites all over our body. They itch and pain for the next few days. We also saw streams of ants roaming up the down the walls of the room, some of them even got into the beds, and all over our body. But I don't really mind the ants, as they don't bite. Also we saw some cockroaches, and they ran away, Again they don't bother us. But if you are afraid of ants and cockroaches, you'd better watch out. Ants may crawl over you as you are deep dreaming. The host, who is an old woman is not friendly at all, hostile at times. The younger woman is nice enough to help. The only thing we like is the two King bed we reserved, and the price we paid. Other than those, it is a torture. There is no on site parking, but you can easily find one along the street around.
This is an excellent choice for a budget hotel in Zihuatanejo. The location is perfect, right in the centre of Zihua and near the beach in town, and near all of the combis to nearby beaches and sites. The bed is large and comfortable. There is a ceiling fan to keep the room cool. The only thing was that the shower did not work well. But, if you are one of those fussy gringos who wants A/C and luxury, remember this is a budget hotel and it's excellent value for the price.
It was good
