We had a amazing two nights at Finn’s ❤️ Both nights we made use of the restaurant for our dinners - food was delicious and the staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Thanks to all at Finn’s that we dealt with 👍😊❤️

Very Happy with unit 7 Most aspects of facility were Excellent in every way...we did however find the bed a little too hard as our preference is a softer mattress base. The Hotel staff were very polite and informative and their service was top class

Late checking instructions and service was excellent. Excellent bakery across the street substitutes for late opening of restaurant. Room ample and environs not noisy despite facing the street.

Needs signage for Finns around back entry off side street as it's hard to see at night.

2/10 Mediocre

The room my partner and I had was nice but there was hair all over the bathroom cabinet when we arrived and no soap or shampoo and conditioner - completely empty. The door wasn’t locked between adjoining rooms so my partner and I opened a door to which we thought was a cupboard, and it was two strangers sitting in the room. They obviously asked the staff to come and fix the issue and the staff continued to barge through the door no knocking or anything. Just walked through the door to try lock it. I would’ve felt really unsafe if I was alone. Later on we ask for soap at the counter and 15 mins later the manager comes down and says it’s filled, so it’s obvious he proceeded to walk through our room unannounced and us not knowing. We were waiting for him to give us the soap. Also when we arrived they were adamant that we hadn’t paid and had to find proof we had - barely any apology. Honestly it was terrible and I am seeking a full refund. Was unsafe to have that door unlocked and there’s no ifs ands or buts about it. Look forward to hearing from you and receiving details of the refund. Thank you

Paekakariki worth a stay

We find the food and hospitality at Finns great and have stayed there previously. Rooms are spacious - comfortable bed and a good sized spa bath.Proximity to the beach is perfect for a stroll or run. It’s a great place to stay when breaking up a long drive. If you’re a train lover the little village has a train museum. Sited near a railway line you will hear some goods trains in the night.
