Pros:
- The unit was very clean and nicely appointed, albeit the design choices were "bachelor on crack" with a cow-hide rug and motorcycle gear
- The location was good, safe, walkable, with plenty of restaurants
The BAD
-The check-in process was horrific, buzzer didn't work, and it took them 30 minutes to even respond to my multiple texts, calls and emails, and another 30 minutes to send a local person. Not ideal after 12 hours of travel and previous emails confirming this would not be an issue. The doorman in the building advised me it had been this way for weeks.
- The bathroom is dangerous if you have any mobility issues or you're not 6' tall. The tub shower combo is almost 3' tall to climb into (pic with luggage for scale), and there are no grab bars. If you are a short queen like me, you risk falling, like me. I have a bruise (also pictured) on my leg from that tub that is BRUTAL. That being said, the water temp and pressure were good.
- The lighting in the bathroom is THE worst for putting on makeup. They would be well served by better lighting.
- The queen bed has seen better days; the mattress was okay, but the frame sloped, and you had to climb over the bed to access the other side of the bed and the closet.
- If you like dark for sleeping, bring an eyemask, the blinds filter light, but do not block it, and with the wall of windows, there was a lot of street noise until the wee hours.
Next time I'll book a hotel room.
