There are plenty of open air parking lots nearby the hotel which has a tie up with the hotel so that was a good option, if it was not raining. "Lovely, lovely place. Easily the most pleasant stay in our 4 week stay in Japan. Everything's designed to make feel you welcome and have an unforgettable experience. Staff is extremely helpful, gentle and welcoming. Breakfast buffet is something special, an experience worth living, honestly. For us the only downside is that our room felt very old, it could use a slight renovation, or maybe it's just meant to be like that. Also it's all very family friendly, and they have a shuttle service that takes you from and to Nagano station, which is really helpful. A lovely, lovely place indeed."

"It started off pretty bad, but the management took care of our concerns nicely. Tip: Do not get the lower end rooms, they are awful. The higher end rooms are extraordinary. So are the grounds. But if you come at night, note the parking lot is unlit and a kilometer from the front desk."

"It is a beautiful property, walking distance from the outlet. We loved staying there in a cabin. We were told by a staff that we couldn’t check in until the official check-in time, but when I asked another staff. I was told that the room was already ready and we could check in."

"The Celecton is a nice, standard Japanese hotel. The rooms are small, but they are practical, very clean and amenities are good. If you want a hotel that is close to the Castle then this is a good one, but it is 10-15 minutes walk to the train station, restaurants, and the other attractions in Matsumoto. My room was facing the Castle but directly above a busy road, so it was quite noisy."
