"When we checked in we were told to pay extra fees to upgrade to a room so that we could be eligible for breakfast. The next day when we went to breakfast, they didn't have our name on the list. We also had our dog with us, which I notified the hotel about several weeks before our arrival. The hotel did not tell us there was a no dog policy in the restaurant, and we were embarrassed by the staff when we went down for breakfast. They sent the restaurant general manager who tried to tell me it was a Nobu policy that dogs were not allowed in the restaurant. I've been to Nobu in Palo Alto, Los Angeles, and San Sebastian, several times, all of them, and this is not true. There were no amenities in our room - no welcome basket, wine, no bed for the dog, nada. I called the front desk and asked for a dog bed. They clearly did not anticipate us. We will not be staying at Nobu Barcelona again."
"The hotel is quite striking visually from the outside. It is in a superb location next to Europa | Fira station. You can therefore get the “L9 Sud” train directly from the airport to almost the front door of this hotel for only €6.90. That train station will also get you to Pl España, from there you can get anywhere easily. I recommend purchasing a “T casual” metro card, that gives you 10 trips for €13, ideal if you are staying for a few days. You therefore get the best of both worlds with this hotel, easy access to Barcelona but without the cost of staying right in the middle.
I did not eat at the hotel as it was too expensive - €18 for breakfast is too much when you can walk to Gran Via 2 shopping centre and pay a fraction of that.
The rooms were clean, however the shower and toilet is only separated by glass screens with gaps, so don’t share with anyone you aren’t prepared to get to know very well!
They also leave food out, this is actually part of the mini bar but not signed as such. So if you eat it, you’ll be charged. They also don’t leave free water in the room and the coffee is very poor, as is the milk offering."
"Very nice hitel and great staff!!!
It was centrally located near the airport and train station (not walking distance). The room was large and very comfortable!!!"
"I asked the manager to call me- no response! My shower had cold water. My remote had low batteries and did not work correctly. The coffee pot in my room would only squeak out 2 inches of really black coffee when ai pushed the tall cop button. Sess was good at check in but I wanted to talk to the manager about an error in booking and he/she did not respond. I was charged for 3 nights when I only stayed one!!"
