Elegant old property with hometown charm. It was kind of like staying at my grandmother’s house, warm welcome, great room filled with heritage furniture, and the grounds are spectacular. Will stay here again.

This is a wonderful property! I love antiques and it has many beautiful antiques that are still useful. When we were there they had amazing musicians in the music barn. Everyone was friendly and helpful! I will be back!

This property is located on a farm. The owner was very welcoming. We also met other visitors and enjoyed their company. The property has a piano and familiar sheet music. It was lots of fun to play after supper. In spite of remodeling in the kitchen, they were able to provide us with supper.

We had to cancel this reservation because of heavy rain which closed the road we needed to travel on. When I called to cancel the person on the phone (?David) was having another conversation at the same time and assured me he would cancel but it has not been credited to my card as yet.

We only stayed one night but it was an excellent experience. All the staff were extremely kind and helpful. The property is lovely and the cabin itself was clean and cozy. We had our dog with us and so it was nice to be able to walk the grounds with her. We were booked in for dinner with our reservation and had a yummy meal with excellent service. I would definitely stay again.

What an experience. We were greeted warmly at check in. Staff was friendly (make sure to pet Suki .she's cute!). Answered all questions and apologiEs for no dinner/breakfast but provided helpful alternatives (The Lakes was great for family dinner spot, great staff and food). Cabin was cool...beauty fire pit I wish we used, but we were too busy at the Barn for the Celiidh. What an amazing surprise. Fun night of fiddling and square dancing (only Wed/Fri). And the coolest part...Highland Cows! Fr, but kept to themselvesiendly beasts...some escaped and wandered the grounds. Room was clean, staff was amazing and welcoming, got the full "Cape Breton" experience in 1 night...and we all loved it.

Upon arrival, we were told that the dining facilities and the Bar were not available This was one of the main reasons we chose this Inn. We had a long day of travel and had hoped to relax.. Therefore. we had to leave the property to have a meal. Some of the cabins had tarps on them. Although the room appeared clean, it was difficult to see it that way. Cobwebs in the bathroom, curtains were dirty, bedspread was old. There was also a musty smell in the cabin. The bedsheets were clean though or we would have left. A lot of work needs to be done to bring this property up to better standards. It appeared that the owners were no longer interested in their property.

A very pleasant stay

We stayed only one night here. Although the property is a bit older the buildings appear well cared for and the setting is lovely. We had a very clean and comfortable room . The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a lovely meal in the dining room. All in all a very pleasant stay and we would recommend it.

The place was clean, still kept it’s rustic look. Taking a seat outside at night and watching the sparkling stars was great. Waking up to Animals such as horses and Cows, was a beautiful experience. Coffee and bread were fresh and waiting in the front desk. Highly recommend.
