The pub is a very old building, but very well maintained despite all the challenges of owning a listed building. We received a friendly welcome when we arrived and were shown straight to our room, which was no 3. The room was very clean and like other reviewers we loved the quirkiness and character of the room. The ensuite shower room was a decent size with lovely big, fluffy bath sheets. It is an electric shower, but was as good as you would expect.
Breakfast was delicious and we had the full English both days. It is 2 very nice sausages, 2 rashers of crispy bacon, mushrooms, fried egg, baked beans and cooked baby tomatoes which were on the vine and lovely. There is also plenty of toast and coffee. The lady who served us was friendly and attentive.
We will definitely be staying here again!
