One of the best stays we have had, spa is top class, our suit was superb and the beds very comfortable, the dinner was top, beautiful steak and my partner loved the fish and chip. Will definitely be back

Daniel was the best help touring us through the grounds. The Rooms were very dark, not enough light in the rooms, and the bed was not very comfortable. Other than that, one of the best experiences. I would go back again.

My stay at Ballantier House Hotel and Spa was extremely disappointing. I booked because it was advertised as a four-star luxury hotel, but the experience fell well below that standard. Although I appreciate it is an old building, the room was dusty, grubby and furnished with worn-out, dated furniture. The heating only came on for a couple of hours a day, leaving the room cold, and the shower sprayed water everywhere when turned on. There were long blonde hairs all over the carpet and even on my clothes, and I also had to deal with two wasps in the room. I was disappointed to discover an additional charge for using the spa, which was the main reason I booked and should have been made clear beforehand. The food was also disappointing, with such small portions that I could easily have eaten the entire three-course meal again. Overall, this was nowhere near the four-star luxury experience advertised. The cleanliness, comfort, facilities and food all fell short of expectations, and I would not recommend this hotel.

Beautiful old house with creaky floorboards and lots of antiques, very tastefully decorated. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fresh with a very good selection available. The thermal suite was lovely although I couldn’t find the 10m swimming pool, there was however a 10m hot tub so we made very good use of that and the saunas and plunge pools. My only negative was the lighting in the room we stayed in (203) was very poor and it was difficult to get ready to attend an event we were going to. Also the room was overfurnished so space was limited. Should be an easy fix I would think. However we had a lovely stay and I would stay there again but perhaps request a different room

Beautiful breakfast and stay! Interior decor and setting is very good. Bellinter house used to be a great value stay, reasonably near Dublin airport with sauna/hot tub complimentary. Since the development of the luxury spa prices are understandably higher. I was disappointed to learn of extra charges for guests to use any sauna or hot tub since the upgrade. Its a payment for the entire Thermal Suite or nothing. I will look to the sister property Ballagh house in future- Bellinter appears aimed at Luxury Hotel Stay clientale now.

We took a group here to visit sacred sites nearby. It was PERFECT! The breakfast was great, the spa was amazing, and the grounds were so beautiful. We would definitely recommend this place. Perfect location for visiting The Hill of Tara, Newgrange, Trim Castle, and Loughcrew. We will certainly be back!

Our entire stay was idyllic. The staff were all top notch professional hospitalitiers. They were knowledgeable about the area, quick to help with every step of the stay. Oliver and Sophie had solutions to every question or need. Iryna and Tina were some of the best waitstaff for dinner and tea service. The spa was a lovely oasis and garden of eden boxed up together. The sauna and thermal spa was the highlights. The scenery and natural birdsong really help Bellinter stand out. The amenities in their suites was a home away from home. 5 out of 5 and we will be returning.

Lovely spot, nice food in restaurant & breakfasts. Staff very helpful needed an extension lead, no problem , was in my room by the time Beautiful grounds too. Only thing that spoiled it was a drunk US woman guest, on arriving back from somewhere, shouting at the top of her voice and certainly old enough to know better. Woke the other guests up at 4am !!!! Let rip, how selfish and inconsiderate they were acting (her husband was apologetic) like that. Couldn’t get back to sleep so enjoyed the dawn course.
