Incredibly warm and informative welcome, Andy ensured we had everything we needed, dinner was amazing, freshly cooked, very tasty and excellent choice for vegetarians Room was beautifully decorated with a super comfy bed and enormous fluffy towels Breakfast was preordered which meant it was freshly cooked when we needed it and totally set us up for the day Both Andy and Wendy are incredibly hard working and dedicated ensuring that the needs and comfort of customers come first and are always of a high standard

We have just had a perfect stay at the Union Inn and Restaurant. After a warm welcome we were shown to our room which was immaculate, well decorated and equipped with lots of little extras. The first night we stayed there for dinner which was delicious, all home cooked and we got "proper" chips. Breakfast was also amazing with plenty of choice, cooked to order and served piping hot. The location is within walking distance of Malton, the train station and the bus station giving access to Whitby, Scarborough, York and Pickering. Thank you to Andy and Wendy, nothing was too much trouble, we would definitely return and will recommend to family and friends.

We arrived a little earlier than expected but were greeted with a warm welcome and were able to check in after parking in the ample car park. Our room (3) was spacious, spotless and exceptionally well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom provided toiletries, feminine products and wonderful towels. The hosts were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We opted to have dinner in the restaurant purely based on the delightful smells from the kitchen…. We were glad of that decision, as both meals were delicious, fresh and plentiful. Breakfast was without a doubt one of tastiest we’ve had, with fresh, quality ingredients, again plentiful and beautifully presented. We will definitely return when next in the area … even if it’s just for the food and to say Hi to the wonderful hosts!!!

We entered the front and were met with a warm welcome at the bar. The place had a warm welcoming feel to it too. Once checked in we were taken to our room. The room was lovely. The bedroom was comfortable, clean and spacious. My wife and I immediately felt at home. The en-suite was also very clean and the shower was amazing. Was nice to freshen up after a long journey. There is a large car park at the rear and a lovely beer garden too. Slept well - beds were really comfy. As for breakfast - wow - certainly set us up for the day - lovely quality food ( and plentiful) cooked to perfection. As for the staff / management - all I can say is ‘Thankyou’ we were made to feel genuinely welcomed by everyone - they were so kind and couldn’t do enough for us. It was clear that their main concern was to ensure everything was perfect for their guests. Would we return - Absolutely . I would recommend the Union Inn without hesitation.

Came across the Union completely by accident, as a short notice visit. An absolutely brilliant find. Faultless from arrival to departure. A definite recommendation, you get great accommodation at a good price, with a really good English breakfast included.

2x night break..rooms were spotless, usual tea/coffee and bathroom toiletries etc. Great choice at breakfast, evening food very good and at decent prices, drinks also. Excellent parking facilities at rear of Inn, excellent outdoor beer garden. Hosts very welcoming and willing to go the extra mile to enhance your stay. Definitely no hesitation of going back, if down that way...
