Simple as that: when we got there, there was no room for us! And worse, we were told by the owner that we could stay in a house room "for free" for one night and then go back to a better room in the hotel for the 2 other nights (paying 3 nights obviously). Really not the way, although we thought she was acting in good faith.
We booked another hotel on the same day and did not stay there.
It is the third reservation we do with hotels.com and the second problem like that, which makes us give up on the website. We received a confirmation from hotels.com 2 days before arriving, which shows you have absolutely no control on the hotels and reservations.
