Treadwell Inn is in a perfect location we were able to walk to a wide assortment of restaurants and our whale watching tour was a 5 minute walk away too. Just a ten minute drive to a beautiful golf course. Just perfect!

I could not recommend the Treadwell more enthusiastically! We were warmly greeted by Steve, who took great care of us our whole stay, and is a wonderful asset to the Inn. The room was beautiful and all the small details really added to the experience. The soap in the shower smelled delicious, the linens smelled like lavender, and the mattress was so comfortable. The room service - which came from the restaurant downstairs - was incredible. We also loved the chocolate croissants and yogurt at breakfast (and the Honeybeans recommendation). I will be thinking about the Salty Maritimer until next time we’re in town. We can’t wait to come back. Thank you so much Treadwell folks for a relaxing getaway!

Kim, in the dinning room remembered my favourite tea. She had bought so I would have it at my next breakfast THAT'S customer service!

First interaction with owner was unpleasant as she informed me that I would have saved 20% if I'd booked direct because she did not want to lose what Expedia takes. I do not think this is ethical. Hotels.com says nothing they can do but to check day before for lower price and they will price match which is unreasonable. I asked for two blankets as they are usually too small for both of us in a king bed; the reply "Only one in the room and that's all there is" Top floor Room with kitchenette is pleasant. Minimally equipped facility. Microwave takes all counter space. Beautiful view when weather is clear. Air conditioning unit is inadequate. Bathtub/shower needs grab handle. Lavatory and sink are in tight space. Breakfast was the usual; pastries, hard boiled eggs, yogurt. Coffee was undrinkable. St. Andrews is worth visiting but there is a definite new money vibe and US influence. There are some wonderful historic sites; one the Oppenheimer Museum at Dayspring and another is Ministers Island, Van Horne's Summer Residence and year round farm and even if you don't get across the causeway during the low tide access period there are lots of videos about the property and it's history. Water Street is the main street and there are many restaurant/bar/pub and gift/clothing. There is a good grocery store owned by Loblaws

Quaint...Cindy very nice and welcoming...great location...comfortable accommodations. Didn't like that with a minimum of two-day stay required, both days we reserved their restaurant and wine bar, prominent in their advertising, was closed. Don't visit Monday and Tuesday and expect the full treatment at least not after Labor Day. Otherwise a great location with an awesome view.

We stayed at the Treadwell two nights last week. When we booked the reservation, I received a text shortly after from the owner to confirm when we would be arriving. She wanted to make sure she was there to welcome us. The property is very beautiful and the views from the balconies are breathtaking! The staff were very helpful with suggestions of places we should go while there. We also bought a few bottles of their great olive oil and balsamic vinegar which I look forward to using soon. These will bring back the great memories of this Inn.

So impressed with our room and view that we reserved for next year. We were there in the off season so not all the services were available but, considering the circumstances, we have no complaints. The owners even did some shopping for us. There are no elevators and stairs to negotiate.
