Learn more about Stirling
Perched atop an ancient volcanic crag, the castle commands views across battlefields where Scotland's fate was decided centuries ago. The medieval Old Town unfolds below with its cobbled streets leading to the Church of the Holy Rude, where baby James VI was crowned king. History buffs shouldn't miss the National Wallace Monument, standing tall as a tribute to the Scottish hero. The Old Stirling Bridge marks where armies clashed in legendary battles, while Argyll's Lodging offers a glimpse into aristocratic life of yesteryear. After exploring the Old Town Jail, duck into one of the local pubs where university students and tourists swap stories beneath ancient beams. The Tolbooth showcases local culture in a building that's witnessed centuries of Scottish drama.

Leonardo Royal Hotel Glasgow
"Great hotel for trainspotting especially from the rear view rooms which overlook the platforms at Glasgow Central Station. You don't need an alarm clock either as the first trains in the morning will wake you up. I found the announcements and general train noise quite comforting and often left my window open overnight. That's how I found out that 3 men in miners helmets inspect the track at 3am."
The Social Hub Glasgow
"Such a unique place for anyone looking for a quick getaway. Whether you like to socialise or just sit in quiet this place caters for it all and with only a stones throw from Glasgow central it’s ideally placed Will be staying again"
Point A Glasgow
