Downtown Kelowna
Downtown Kelowna dazzles with its stunning lakeside boardwalk where locals and visitors soak up mountain views along Okanagan Lake. City Park's beaches buzz with swimmers in summer, while Bernard Avenue hosts lively street festivals and farmers markets. The Rotary Centre for the Arts and Kelowna Community Theatre offer cultural fixes when you need a break from the sun. Find everything from casual lakeside patios to upscale wine-country cuisine throughout the walkable downtown core. Hotels with lake views dominate the accommodation scene, while the compact layout makes exploring on foot a breeze. BC Transit connects you to suburbs and the airport when you're ready to venture beyond this waterfront gem.

South Pandosy
South Pandosy hugs the shores of Okanagan Lake with beaches and waterfront paths that practically beg you to kick off your shoes. Boyce-Gyro Beach offers sandy spots for swimming while artsy types browse local galleries tucked between heritage homes. The neighborhood strikes a perfect balance between tourist-friendly and authentically local, with Pandosy Street's indie boutiques and craft breweries keeping things interesting. You'll find everything from casual lakeside patios to farm-to-table restaurants serving Okanagan wines and fresh lake fish. Most accommodations are charming B&Bs and vacation rentals in heritage homes, giving you that lived-in local feel. Getting around is easiest on foot or bike, though having a car helps for exploring broader Kelowna.

North Glenmore
North Glenmore offers a peaceful suburban escape with easy access to outdoor adventures. Knox Mountain Park's scenic trails showcase breathtaking views of Okanagan Lake, while Glenmore Recreation Park provides sports fields and playgrounds for family fun. The Geert Maas Sculpture Gardens and nearby golf clubs deliver cultural and recreational options without downtown's hustle. The neighborhood features affordable vacation rentals and bed & breakfasts that won't break your budget. You'll need a car to explore fully since public transit is limited. Dining options are scarce, so plan on short drives to downtown Kelowna for restaurants and shopping experiences.

Rutland
Rutland offers a genuine slice of suburban Canadian life where locals grab coffee, hit the links, or cheer at community sporting events. Golf enthusiasts have their pick of courses with Tower Ranch, St Andrews by the Lake, and Kelowna Springs all calling this neighborhood home. Families appreciate the laid-back vibe, with Landmark Cinemas and World Beat Family Golf providing entertainment without downtown prices. Budget-conscious travelers will find this Kelowna neighborhood hits the sweet spot with affordable accommodations and casual dining that won't break the bank. Getting around requires wheels‚ either a car or occasional bus service‚ but the payoff is ample free parking and uncrowded streets. The mountain views from higher points add natural beauty to this practical home base.

Kelowna Central Business District
Kelowna Central Business District blends lakeside charm with urban energy right on Okanagan Lake's shore. Stroll the floating boardwalk before unwinding at City Park's sandy beach by the iconic Sails sculpture. Art lovers can explore Kelowna Art Gallery or wander through Kasugai Gardens' peaceful pathways. The area hums with cultural life thanks to the Kelowna Community Theatre and several fascinating museums. Local restaurants serve up farm-to-table cuisine paired with Okanagan wines on lakefront patios. You'll find accommodation ranging from sleek business hotels to boutique properties, most offering mountain and lake views. Getting around is a breeze with excellent walkability, bike lanes connecting to trail systems, and convenient transit options throughout downtown.

Learn more about Kelowna
Between sips of award-winning wine at lakeside vineyards, discover why locals call this sun-drenched city the 'Napa of the North.' Paddle across crystal-clear Okanagan Lake where beaches beckon with surprising warmth in summer months. Knox Mountain Park offers hiking trails with panoramic views that explain why everyone seems suspiciously happy here. The Cultural District houses galleries and theaters in heritage buildings that tell stories of the region's past. Golf enthusiasts face tough decisions with over 20 championship courses competing for attention. After dark, casino lights illuminate downtown streets where farm-to-table restaurants serve Okanagan cherries and peaches that taste impossibly perfect. Don't miss the floating bridge—it's exactly what it sounds like and oddly hypnotic.

Hyatt Place Kelowna
"Very central modern hotel that is close to shopping and dining options. Excellent property with secure underground parking."
Delta Hotels by Marriott Grand Okanagan Resort
"The outdoor pool was closed for the first three days that we were there. It was unfortunate and I would have thought the hotel would have offered some sort of concession for that inconvenience. The hotel is great, but you are paying for all of the amenities and when one of the major attractions of the hotel isn't available I would think there would be some acknowledgement on the part of the hotel."
Manteo at Eldorado Resort
"We loved our stay! The restaurants on site were fantastic! All the staff was great. We would stay here again."
