It was a great stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and the service was exceptional. Better than that was the food. A great complimentary breakfast, and a fantastic dinner that I would normally expect to pay much more for. I would gladly go back. Incredible views driving up the mountain to the hotel's location as well.
Stayed here for one night. Marlene is so welcoming and warm. I don’t speak Italian and she doesn’t speak English or Spanish, but we managed to communicate wonderfully. Bedroom is a bit dated (at least ours) but it’s spotless and extremely clean - very important for me. Location is beautiful and their pizza restaurant and coffee is really good. Loved the stay. The property, pool and sauna were really nice and clean. The hotel and restaurant staff were nice and professional. We had both breakfast and dinner at the restaurant and the food was delicious. I highly recommend a stay as the hotel as it is has not only beautiful surroundings but also the Junior suite room was sleek and comfortable.
We had an amazing time. The location was fabulous. The staff and hotel were amazing. We there during August and it was VERY hot in the towns. However, being up at 1500M meant that we were able to sleep and be cooler at night. We will definitely got back!
This is the most amazing hotel we’ve ever stayed in Europe. Fabulous new renovation. Large rooms, shower and plenty of storage. Very quiet. The staff was awesome and very helpful about options for trips outside of the city. Lovely, lovely, lovely. Can’t recommend enough!
A beautiful little hotel nestled in a rustic Alpine town. Charming lobby, bar and restaurant. Gracious friendly staff...family owned and operated. Provided us with very courteous service with personal attention and help with tourist information and restaurants. A place we will certainly hope to stay in the next time we return to the Merano area.
Hotel Greif is a lovely properly. Old town Bolzano is not that large and the hotel is right there off of Walthaplaz. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the train station and 7 minutes to the bus station-they are adjacent to one another. There are plenty of great restaurants just steps away.
The rooms are a decent size for Europe-with bathrobes and slippers in the room. The room was clean and quiet with a tea and coffee maker in the room along with tea and cofee.

The hotel is one of the finest designed that we have ever had the pleasure of staying at. The room design and the views are exquisite; the beds were perfect and the quality of all the spaces beautiful. In addition the staff were a joy and the breakfast superb.
As a side note, my wife and are both architects and have only one before been so effusive in the praise of a hotel.
Hotel is perfectly situated in the core historic area of Bolzano. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful at both check in and check out. The Südtirol Guest Pass provided to guests allows use of public busses, trains and the Renon cable car - we used it multiple times. Rooms were very comfortable. Would definitely stay again!
