This property was stunning. Gorgeous views westward over the rolling Tuscan hills, paired with a cozy spa and relaxing outdoor pool were the perfect setting for a portion of our honeymoon. The staff was very friendly/helpful and management certainly does a superb job maintaining this historical setting.
This was the best hotel experience of our lives! This is a beautiful old Italian farmhouse that has been completely remodeled but preserves all of the charm. A bit difficult to find, but worth it. The staff was the best staff we have ever seen in a hotel, and we travel a lot. We stayed 5 nights and got to feel we were friends with all of them. They treated us like family and were ever ready to assist if we needed it, i.e., helping us map out our week of activities, recommending restaurants,...
It was wonderful. The house is in beautiful country and is furnished and decorated to be very homey. The scenery is outstanding. Tuscany is beautiful in September. Simonetta is the owner and proprietor and by the end of our week's stay, she felt like family. There is a delicious breakfast each morning at which other boarder's may be present. A highlight of the stay was a cooking class with Simonetta in which we made a mult-course meal including pasta from scratch in her kitchen.
We spent two nights in this hotel and loved it. Gardens and environment is magical. Hotel is luxurious but understated and still very friendly. We have two young daughters and everyone was very friendly and happy to see them. Restaurant is very good and staff was the best we had the whole time in Italy. We spent time in Venice and Rome and in the end everyone agreed that our time in this hotel was the best.
The manager of this establishment, Silvie, was wonderful. We missed the turn to get to the property & she offered to come find us. This is an experience I never received in all my travels. She went above & beyond to accommodate us.
Our visit was like being spoiled from the moment we arrived! The staff and even the owner were there to make sure we had everything we needed! Though our visit was in the off season, the only thing we didn't get to use was the pool as it was just too cold. The breakfast, though, was the best we have ever had while traveling! Highly recommend!!!
Words cannot describe the amazing experience at 'Le Terre dei Cavalieri'. The place is so unique and full of character and history, the surroundings are amazing, with an excellent Restaurant in house. The resort is a few minutes away from two beautiful towns like Cortona & Montepulciano. For the shopaholics it is just a 15 minutes dive from a very good Outlet Village. Our stay was made even more special with the help of the personnel, everyone was so helpful and accommodating, especially...
Augusto was a great host. We appreciated the recommendations of local attractions in the area. The deluxe villa was very clean, quiet, and nicely decorated. We really enjoyed the garden that is on the property. By far our best stay in Tuscany.
Pro: gorgeous and spacious property, we were upgraded to a junior suite that was lovely, attentive staff, and incredible amenities. Pool was wonderful for tired bodies.
Con: very few. The restaurant on site has pretty limited menu, toilet in room kept running all night long- informed staff on checkout (as it was troublesome to flush, and wasting water), fridge in room- housed in a cabinet that I feel caused it to overheat… and therefore was not very powerful enough to keep drinks cold.
Loved...
This place is a dream place... The perfect set for a movie. There is a vineyard on the property and the area is loaded with the essence of olives, flowers, gardens and grapes... Is the perfect spot for just married couples, retreat or just for unwind. The closest place to heaven. The staff, Francesca, Leonardo, Eva and the rest of them are AMAZING. I would go back every time...
This was the first hotel we visited in our two week Tuscany vacation. Coming out of Rome and getting on the highway north, it looked like the exit should be labeled for Cortona...but it wasn't and we wasted a lot of time getting lost (our fault). Once we found the hotel, it was a gem in the hills in the vineyards. Breakfast on the patio of the little glass Liminoere building was fabulous. Loved their boxer dog roamed around saying "hi". Owner/chef is on premises and she gives cooking lessons....
Our stay was wonderful. The hotel staff were fabulous. The rooms were nice and larger than most European hotel rooms. The bathroom was roomy as well but the shower stall was rather small and cramped.
This hotel is FANTASTIC, has an elevator for disabled people. Breakfast was INCREDIBLE, staff was INCREDIBLE. Only complaint would be showers are a little small and water is not very hot.
A lovely, comfortable hotel in a beautiful location with spectacular views. The staff was beyond excellent going out of their way to help us as we navigated through the issues related to driving in a hilltop medieval town. I have been in Italy many times but everything here was so delightful and beautiful it will always remain a highlighted memory.
Great , big room , recently renovated facilities (bathroom, shower). Very peaceful place to stay.
Nice view inner courtyard convent.
Comfy bed.
Very clean. Very quiet. Great location, closer to restaurants and museums, churches.
Staff very pleasant and helpful with advices.
Breakfast provided was good. Good coffee and juice, yogurt.
