"I was “in-between” places and Sappho Hotel was in the budget, location and availability for three nights. My ONLY negative comment and it’s not just Sappho hotel, is that there are no designated smoking areas. As a non smoker you’re subjected to it everywhere. Please note: I was a smoker, I love to smoke, so I am not judging. Rather you are just surrounded by it constantly. From the rooms next door, from below and above. "I stayed here for 2+ weeks. It is a perfect location, and has everything one needs. My room was clean and offered a lot of space, including an outdoor patio on the second floor. Stove top is offered, but few cooking items. There were pots and pans and a dish rack. But not a real way to cook. You cannot leave any food out as there are many ants if even a crumb is out. I give a four star review only because the food in the restaurant was adequate but nothing special compared to neighboring restaurants. That being said, I would return again next year."

"Lovely people, my only complaint is that the room was a bit outdated and the breakfast had few selections though the food quality was good. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful and it is an excellent choice for location."

"We had a lovely time at this hotel with the kids. The kids pool is perfect to let adults rest on the side but keep a close eye on them. Rooms are basic but clean. The lift needs an upgrade as it is like entering a prison and the wardrobes of Narnia at the same time! Great coffee's from the pool car."
