Beautiful historic hotel sensibly and chicly updated. Staff very attentive. Our suite was quite comfortable..terrific bed and lovely bath including charming decor and sitting area. The gardens are amazing and you can walk down to the river Tamar from the hotel. Breakfasts amazing, dinner good. Small niggle; pillows are all the same. I like a softer version fwiw.
Hope to come back again; really a stunning spot.
The house is in a very good condition and fully furnished in all rooms, including 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 living rooms and the kitchen and a nice yard, which is the best as I have experienced. Very satisfied with this house and the landlord. Strongly recommend.
One night stay to visit Port Isaac (setting for Doc Martin).
Excellent hotel/room.
Excellent owner/staff, very accommodating and helpful, organised evening dinner at nearby pub.
Also advised us to visit Boscastle before returning to Gatwick,we did and found it to be a "treasure", excellent seaside fishing village. (better than Port Isaac!)
The hotel is in a great spot with beautiful views around the property. The staff is all very friendly and helpful. Joseph and Holly, in particular, were very pleasant, helpful, and interesting to talk with.
Warm and welcoming working family farm.. Lovely room overlooking the Devon countryside. Great base for visiting the many sites on the Devon Cornwall border. Very near Cotehele (NT). A short drive to Plymouth and Saltram House (NT) and good roads to the heart of Cornwall. Spent three nights and wished for more.
This little gem was the best part of our two week adventure through Cornwall. The room was wonderful, the staff was amazing, the food was fantastic and the locals were friendly and welcoming.
I would stay here time and time again!
Comfortable large bedroom. Dinner at restaurant was comparable to any fine dining but in a relaxed atmosphere. The only drawback was the lack of an experienced bar staff.
