The only downside is that I would have liked somewhere outside to sit as we had a single room apartment. My room smelt a bit of cheap fruity air freshener to disguise the smell of what must have been cigarette smoke. Everything else was perfect. "

"Amazingly large and typically quaint old coaching inn under new and energetic management. We stayed because of proximity to Althorp House. Stand out feature is the food at typical pub prices but far from typical. It was superb and makes it a destination in itself. Such a pleasant change to eat real home cooking and not some chilled and reheated offering.
Full English breakfast included in room rate and also superb. "
