"Right, from the offset this is a "local" to the community and you will encounter not only the locals but their dogs and on the night of our stay it was busy, really busy which is generally a good sign wherever you travel. Warm welcome, excellent room with a first class breakfast. The only disappointment was that dinner that evening was served in the bar area (dining room closed) and it was simply too busy but the bar prices compensated somewhat for that and we were fortunate enough to get a table in the Italian restaurant behind the pub. If ever back in Wooler I would not hesitate to spend another evening in the Bull."
