This is our go-to for travel in and out of Tours since it’s immediately adjacent to the TGV station. It’s always clean and the staff always pleasant. Everyone we have encountered also speaks pretty good English. This is not a fancy-pants hotel with luxe appointments, but always reliable. They have a parking lot and excellent little pates de fruits bonbons at the reception desk.
We had a wonderful time at our stay here! The sweet couple who owns the property was very helpful and friendly! We were there with our daughter and had a room that accommodated all of us together. Such a unique property and cute town with easy access to all of the local chateaux!

The hotel is nicely located, within a short walk from the train station and the tourist information centre - from where several tours to the chateaus originate. Manoir de Basses Rivieres is a hidden gem! The property is lovely, beautifully maintained, serene, and fascinating. Be sure to explore all of the caves which are on the grounds, which have been utilized since Troglodytes lived in this area. Guillaume and Arthur are gracious hosts, and the rooms are elegantly and thoughtfully appointed. Unbelievably perfect place to stay! Note: Be sure to reach out to them directly before your arrival, as accessing the hotel is a bit tricky.

What a delightful experience! We decided to splurge and stay in a Château since we were going to the Loire Valley, and were so glad we did! Our room was in one of the cottages, so it was quiet and felt like we had our own house. The breakfast at the Château was wonderful, particularly for the view. Outstanding service as well! Great proximity to Tours and the chateaux.
We stayed at Oceania L'Univers Tours for a few days while touring the chateaux of the Loire Valley. The sitting room and bedroom were large and lovely, and the jetted tub and shower were great. The décor was quite modern, in contrast to the decidedly 19th century public areas. The breakfast buffet was excellent.
