This is a superb place to stay, especially with a dog. I traveled with a well-behaved 20 lb terrier, and the beds were comfortable, the water was hot and plentiful in the shower, and most of all, the grounds and proximity to hiking trails made it worthwhile. The food in the restaurant from breakfast to dinner was outstanding. I would come back here in a heartbeat. Just one suggestion, my bathroom was a little cramped and I was really missing a full-length mirror somewhere in the room. A very...

A very nice, big room with a fan, and a fridge.

We enjoyed the place full out. Anton the chef made gluten-free meals and without any issues. The onion and meat dish was excellent as the recommended wine from Create. Charming with the horses and riding school in the surrounding buildings.

Having the extra goodies and a stocked mini bar was s huge plus! Others may complain there was only one of each item, but how much can two people consume? We thought Hotel Petra was wonderful!

There weren't many good options for an overnight stay in Freudenstadt, so we were happy to find this hotel for the first night of our 3 day/2 night Black Forest tour. Our room was spacious and included a refrigerator, the TV had family friendly channels for our son, the shower was hot with good water pressure, the bed was pretty comfortable, and everything was clean. We also appreciated the underground parking and short drive into the center of Freudenstadt. What really made this place stand out...

The room we stayed in did not look much like the pictures, however, it was not bad. The room was overall clean. You are able to hear people in the hallway while inside the room, but it was not too much of a burden for us. There was no wifi in the room, only in the main lobby. Breakfast was fine and had a nice selection. Staff was helpful and some staff members spoke English very well, which was much appreciated. Also, there is a nearby rodelbahn if interested!
