If you want a true German small town experience this is the place to stay. Staff was excellent. A car is a must. We traveled to Cologne and Eltz Castle. Would definitely recommend

Very nice boutique hotel along the river and walking distance to town. Spacious, comfortable, clean rooms. Very charming building and public spaces. Lots of great wine to purchase in hotel. Highly recommended.

I like to double check my reservation to avoid any surprises such as overbooking or no reservations received, so I had emailed the hotel prior to my stay and they were able to confirm my reservation which is already a plus for me. This is a nice, very very clean hotel located at a winery. I choose this location because it is out in the country. It is a peaceful location, nice and quiet. The staff was helpful in directing me around the area.

Karrenberg was just what we needed after the larger cities. We had rented an auto so it's remote location was more than worth it. The free breakfast buffet would make any room price a bargain. The restaurant prices are more than reasonable for the amount and quality of food served. In one month of travels we had our absolutely meals there. It was wonderful. I loved my stay here and hope to return in the future! It’s the most lovely peaceful serene view as well. The breakfast was delicious and had lots of options. The staff was incredibly attentive and caring. Can’t wait to come again.

Beautiful area, nice views, friendly staff. Only issue for us was the lack of air conditioning.

Great hotel, excellent location right on the river, beautiful vew of the mountains, wonderful breakfast. Good restaurants nearby, or 5 miles down the road is Rudeshime with even more places to eat and see. Very friendly and helpful staff. We spend three nights there and didn't want to leave.

The steam rooms were excellent!

I had an excellent stay at the Rosenhugel in June. The owner/hosts Hildegard & Monika were very friendly and considerate. My train was delayed and I arrived after check in time, but Monika arranged for self check in with a key card which was perfect. The included breakfast was hearty and very fresh and all of the staff greet the guests with a warm Guten Morgen! each day. The views of the town and schloss across the Mosel river were fantastic, especially at sunset. I would defintly stay here...

Coming at night without a GPS and limited German, the hotel staff was extremely helpful and in the end well coming with a hot chocolate. The hotel is attractive as long as you like traditional furnishings, but it comes with an extraordinary view over rolling fields, lovely terraces and with a small private wellness area, pool and sauna WITH and adjoining private Garden.
