The property is beautiful, surrounded by nature. There are monkeys and macaws and other animals every day on the property. There are a bunch of activities nearby as well. I went with my kids and they loved it.

This is an excelent option when you're planning to shop in Golfito. The hotel is near (10 min) of the free zone. The rooms are very clean, good security. They food services are excellent, with very good prices.
Half of the building is over the bay, so walking up to the rail you're guaranteed to see unique birds and small fish...possibly a crocodile or a stingray. The layout is unique in that the guest rooms open right into the dining and bar area. I quickly got used to it and found it convenient. The bar shuts down at 10pm, so unwelcome noise also stops at 10pm. The food is good and the staff is friendly. If you're from the US, be aware that the service culture is different. I really enjoyed staying at Cabinas Golfito. I had a flight early in the morning, so I just walked to the airport which took less than 10 minutes. Host was extremely nice and helpful. I would definitely stay again!
Beautiful rainforest property with good birding opportunity, birds song, cicadas, and frogs, but "touristy", so the natural vibe gets ruined. It seems they cater to tour groups, so not very private or queit. Have to pay for 3 meals a day but on their schedule that's too late for serious birding and not as healthy as I'd prefer. I travel solo and do not enjoy sitting by myself or wasting time I could be out finding birds sitting in a restaurant. I go ut birding before daybreak so, lunch as late...
We really liked the Las Cruces Biological Station and the hotel. Lots of trails to hike on that were well marked with numerous plants identified. Many birds to look at, take photos or just enjoy them. Guided tour was excellent and enjoyed by all. Hotel was very close to everything. Meals were excellent. Don't miss it.
It is a true rare gem. A wonderful lodge in the middle of the jungle. Our villa was spacious. It has two huge rooms and a giant porch where we saw monkeys. I was grilling to the sound of howler monkeys. The owners are a young Danish couple who are welcoming and helpful. They are building a big pool which is going to be ready in the next few weeks.
