If you like quiet time surrounded by flowers and greenery, hang out at Jianshan Shitoushan Park in Jinshan. Want to stretch your legs some more? Head to Yehliu Geopark and Queen's Head, both nearby.
Juming Museum is just one of the attractions in Jinshan, New Taipei City so you might want to stop by during your trip. If you want to experience more of the culture New Taipei City has to offer, head to Jinbaoli Old Street, Fagu Mountain World Buddhist Education Park, and Jianshan Shitoushan Park.
"We stayed in the Premier Suite which was very spacious, classically decorated with Chinese art and it included a massage chair that was so relaxing that l fell asleep. The gym, sauna, and pool were well maintained and made use of them almost daily. Breakfast had a good variety including vegetarian options. The Jut Museum is across the street for contemporary art and 10 walk to Fuxing S. Rd where there are many restaurants and shops. We stayed during the summer so the heat and humidity made walking more than 15 min a challenge to the nearest MRT station, however, the free hotel hourly shuttle to the station made it very convenient. Highly recommend."
"A four-day trip, the hotel was not great—clean, bright, and although the bed wasn't big, the room was spacious. The location is excellent, very close to the MRT station. There are also convenience stores and snack shops nearby."
"Loved the view and the size of the room. Huge. Beautiful hardwood floors which is rare for hotels these days. Bathroom was spacious.
The hotel is not very private. Every day during lunch and dinner, huge crowds gather in the lobby for the hotel restaurants. As a guest, you may have a difficult time booking a table.
The service is not very warm throughput the hotel. You will have better service in other Taipei hotels.
If you want to swim, you need to walk down the hill in the heat or wait for the shuttle to take you to the country club next door. The pool was huge. Olympic sized.
Enjoyed the buffet. Lots of good choices. Relatively expensive for Taiwan but reasonable compared to comparable places in the US.
It’s a good hotel, don’t get me wrong. It is beautiful and indeee a grand hotel."
"I have a very good experience. The staff were very kind and extremely helpful with everything including directions and suggestions. They even printed out a whole itinerary for one of my destinations. The location is near many shops and restaurants. Taxis available everywhere and very cheap about $3-$5 U.S. average for one way rides. Note, not all drivers understand English so have a translator app with you or GPS location. The MRT train entrance is in front of the entrance. Round trip MRT rides average $1 … 7/11 and Family Marts everywhere so that’s convenient. The only downside is the summer heat. It’s brutal but AC unit worked great."
"Well located and convenient for shopping and dinning in the center of the city… the friendly staff members have offered a first-class service so you want to come back again for future trips!"
"5 star rating with the following notes:
1. The hotel is a bit old but the management team tries it best to keep up the property.
2. The swimming pool is small and the mall next door does not have much foot traffic.
3. The room lighting is sufficient but could be brighter
4. I got bug bites sitting on the cafe couch area
5. Overall a nice place to stay but for a grouchy person like me, it has room for improvements."
"June in Taipei this year was rainy, with occasional torrential downpours, which I found difficult to adjust to. Accustomed to California’s dry weather,
Taipei’s humid and hot conditions were a real Challenge. Surprisingly the front desk provided me with a dehumidifier until I left. This thoughtful service helped me sleep better each night.
I was also surprised by how quiet and clean the nearby construction site was. When large truck entered the alley or heavy machinery like cranes operated, several security guards were on hand to protect pedestrians. They even thanked me for waiting , making me feel respected and safe . I’m truly grateful.
During last stay , I was injured, the staff helped me carry my luggage to upstairs and add extra suitcase rack for me .making it easy to access both of my suitcases. It was a very attentive and high quality stay.
Just want to say a lot thanks to Mitsui!
See you soon ."
"After having a bad experience at our previous hotel, we decided to book Solaria last minute for the last part of our trip so as to hopefully have a more comfortable and clean experience - we are SO glad we did! Solaria was by far the best stay we had on our month long trip (2 weeks in Japan and 2 weeks in Taiwan) we stayed for 5 nights and wish we could have stayed longer - I would have stayed for a whole month! It was exceptionally clean in the entire hotel (lobby, laundry, rooms, etc), a warm and modern design, and we felt extremely safe staying here during the typhoon as well. Even on days we didn't get room cleaning service, they left extra towels and water at our door. The air conditioning worked great, and we loved the room layout...honestly there's nothing I could even pick to complain about. And even though it's right in Ximending which is a very busy area and can be chaotic, we felt so comfortable coming back to our hotel every night and felt very safe too. Would 10/10 recommend and definitely would stay here again."
