It was a sound proof room. We had a king size bed, the mattress was from not soft. There were large pillows, 2 firm and 2 soft. When you turn of the lights in the bathroom, the exhaust fan takes a few minutes to turn off automatically. The breakfast was great. I enjoyed my stay at Berry Berry. I was hesitant to book when I saw the graffiti on Google Maps, but there is graffiti everywhere and it’s not an indicator of the neighborhood. The neighborhood was nice and central to many sites. I felt safe walking alone in the evening. It was about 1 mile from bus station and close to square and other sites. There were 2 small grocery stores close by and lots of quick bites places to grab lunch or dinner to go.

The Esplanade is a lovely hotel with marvelous food and a great staff who go out of their way to make your stay as personally pleasing as possible. It is on the higher end, but well worth the treat. Close walk to the main arteries and tons of great restaurants. Do love the no smoking as many other bars serving food allow it…so be prepared during the colder months.
We are a family of four (two parents and two boys ages 15 and 13). We stayed just one night at Design Studios SVI-MI in a Superior Studio room in late June 2026. We loved our room and our experience at Design Studios! Our only regret was that we didn't have time to stay longer to enjoy the room and the wonderful town of Zagreb. It was easy to find and access the unit - Ivanna from the hotel met us at check-in and showed us to our room. We arrived during an extreme heat wave and were very tired...
