"Close to bus stations, Punta Carretas shopping center (many good food options). This hotel is close enough to Tre-Cruces bus station that taking a public bus is more than adequate. Washing + dryer on site is a huge plus! "

"The hotel is right across from the port and is near a walking strèet in old town. The hotel is art deco and could use some sprucing up but was a good deal. I really appreciated the private outdoor area with the room. Breakfast was solid too and the service was great. Recommend."

Location is central, just around the corner to the main plaza in the historic centre with several museums, the Solis Theatre, shops etc. in walking distance. However the city streets tended to be pretty empty with all the shops shuttered - be alert while walking or take Ubers. Hotel breakfast for $14 USD was okay, but there are nice cafes just a block away, Vittatime and...

"Location, location, location! Great location and so close to the beach (just a short block away). The area is also very safe and quiet. The room was spacious and clean. The shower enclosure was a bit small. Large folks may need a room upgrade. Very good public transportation close by and taxis are always nearby."
