Hotels in Port Dalhousie

"The restaurant for breakfast charges outstanding prices including for a Eggs Benedict and the hollandaise is powder. If breakfast is going to cost over $100 for 2 people you'd think they would make real hollandaise sauce. Overall it was decent but the prices are outrageous. $80 a night to park on weekends. It is absurd. Do have to say the views are stunning. "

"Overall our stay met it's purpose but a few things definitely worth noting about our couple night stay at this hotel: - there was an almost absurd amount of security guards patrolling the main lobby area at all times of the day, was borderline alarming/comical to be honest. Made us wonder what kind of a hotel/area we booked ourselves in. Just came from a hotel in downtown Toronto the night before and they didn't even have one security guard...never mind the 10 security guards circling around watching you drink coffee in the lobby at 6:00am here. - hotel elevators were routinely littered with chip bags, sticky floors, etc - room itself was nice though the weird sliding window separating the bed from the bathroom was odd. Turning the bathroom light on brought an immense amount of light into sleeping area, which on top of the noise of sink/toilet/shower not being adequately buffered was kind of disruptive to those not yet awake. Otherwise, property is close enough walking distance to most attractions in the vicinity (the falls, Clifton Hill) though should also note not quite on the Wego bus route. We can't envision ever traveling back to the Niagara Falls area but if we did would most likely look into another hotel option."

"I was disappointed. While the room itself appeared clean at first glance, the overall experience left a lot to be desired. I stayed 3 nights. There was no cleaning service during the stay—only an offer of extra towels, toilet paper, and garbage bags. I ended up having to clean my own coffee pot, change the garbage, and leave it outside the door myself, which is not something I expect when staying at a hotel. There was no hot water during my shower at 3pm on the Saturday or at 9am on the Sunday. I did advise the front desk, but they told me it happens sometimes because all the guests from the water park are rinsing off at the same time and the hotel is on a boiler system. The room itself had a terrible musty smell, and the bathroom was even worse, making it uncomfortable to use. It is in desperate need of a renovation. Noise was another major problem. The walls are extremely thin—I could hear everything, including people on the floor above using the bathroom. To make matters worse, the headboard was positioned against a wall adjacent to entrance door #2, so every time the door opened or closed, the extremely loud banging would shake the headboard.I asked for a late checkout which was offered at a cost of $100, which felt excessive, so I declined. The extremely high cost of the room includes water park passes, which I was unable to use as I stayed here for a dance competition. It would be nice to have the option to decline the waterpark passes for a better nightly rate."

"Got transferred to the hilton, very nice views and everything was very clean. One downside was our Coffee Machine was broken so that sucked. "
